“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” (John 15:12)
Emmanuel House, Home for the Elderly, is a loving home for older adults who are no longer capable of living alone and have limited income and support. To uphold the value and dignity of the gift of long life as bestowed by God, trained volunteer staff offer help with meals, personal care, physical, emotional and spiritual support. We believe that it is our responsibility to take care of one another as it is a reflection of God. We currently have two wonderful women residing with us in this home.
What we do
Our desire is to support and share in all that life brings for these older adults as they fulfill the purposes God intends for this vital stage of life. Residents don’t have to pay to live in the house. They can stay there as long as they want and can ever live out their lives at the home. What is unique about the house is it operates entirely on private donations.
One of the unique aspects about Emmanuel House is that the residents live there for free. No one is paid, from the board members down to the kids who mow the grass in the summer. Everything is donated in a spirit of selfless service to our residents and to the Lord. Emmanuel House provides this care at no charge to the resident, with priority given to helping those in greatest need.
